James O. (Jim) Dolen (born March 23, 1927 — died December 23, 2010) was a lifelong Santa Clara Valley resident who attended Bellarmine College Preparatory and served in the Merchant Marine in the South Pacific near the end of World War II. After the war he built a life and career in the area, raising his family in Los Gatos and later living for sixteen years at the Villages retirement community in San Jose. He worked for many years at SRI (Stanford Research Institute), where he held management roles in Contracts & Special Accounting Programs, and retired from SRI in 1994. Local notices and alumni newsletters remember him for his active social life and long ties to the Bay Area community.
